Guide

Export and Follow Through

Move the retrospective into the systems your team already uses and keep the action items alive after the meeting ends.

Before you start

  • Finish the retrospective content first.
  • Decide where the final document needs to live.

Do this

  1. Open the retrospective and choose Export.
  2. Select the destination:
    • Confluence for a linked knowledge base page.
    • Google Docs for a shared document.
    • Word or PDF for file export.
  3. If exporting to Confluence, choose the space and title.
  4. Run the export and open the external document if a link is provided.
  5. Review the task list in the retrospective and make sure open items are still visible to the team after export.
  6. Reopen the retrospective later if follow-up work changes the final outcome.

Check it worked

  • The retrospective exports to the expected destination.
  • The exported document has the title and content you expect.
  • Follow-up tasks still exist in OpsBell for tracking.

If it does not work

  • If Confluence spaces do not load, fix the integration before retrying export.
  • If the document title is wrong, change it before the final export rather than editing it after every run.
  • If tasks are being forgotten, keep them in OpsBell and reference them from the exported document.
