Configure GitHub

Connect GitHub for change intelligence and repository-aware incident context.

Before you start

  • Decide which repositories and deployment events should flow into the workspace.

Do this

  1. Open Settings > Integrations and select GitHub.
  2. Install or connect the GitHub app.
  3. Confirm the integration is healthy.
  4. Use the deployment webhook path where your delivery tooling should send GitHub change signals.
  5. Test one change event and verify it appears in the changes feed.

Check it worked

  • GitHub is connected.
  • Change events appear in OpsBell.
  • Responders can see repository context around incidents.

If it does not work

  • If installation fails, fix the GitHub app access first.
  • If the feed is empty, verify the deployment webhook path and source events.
