Configure Jira Cloud

Make Jira available for incident issue creation and workspace project mapping.

Before you start

  • Decide which Jira projects this workspace should be allowed to use.

Do this

  1. Open Settings > Integrations and select Jira Cloud.
  2. Load the available Jira projects.
  3. Add the projects this workspace should use.
  4. For each project, choose the default issue type.
  5. Set the default project for the workspace if one project should be preferred in runbooks or incident workflows.
  6. Save the configuration and test with a Jira issue creation step or incident workflow.

Check it worked

  • Jira projects and issue types load successfully.
  • The workspace shows the expected mapped projects.
  • OpsBell can create Jira work where you expect it to.

If it does not work

  • If projects do not load, fix the Atlassian connection or the Jira permissions first.
  • If issue creation lands in the wrong project, update the default project or project mapping.
