Responder Guide

Join the incident, find context quickly, run the next useful action, and keep the record readable.

When you join

  • Open the incident and read the title, summary, severity, and environment first.
  • Use bridge links and alert context to find the live workspace and recent related signal.
  • Check impacted systems and functions before you change scope.

While you work

  • Use the timeline for facts, decisions, and state changes.
  • Use executing runbooks for repeated steps instead of recreating them in chat.
  • If you page someone else, make sure ownership and on-call data still match the service.

Before you leave

  • Add the last useful update you learned.
  • Make sure the next owner or next responder can pick up from the incident record.
  • If the incident is stabilizing, point the commander to close and hand off.
